Wow! What an awesome group of kiddos! We had a great day.
We learned about some of Dr. Morgan's Kennerly Expectations and began setting some of our own classroom norms. The students brainstormed what they want their classroom to look like this year. We will vote on 4 of the most important norms tomorrow....I told them to sleep on it!
Some important reminders....
* Please do not send your child to school in flip flops. Unfortunately, the mulch on the playground can puncture their foot through the foam sole. It's always best to wear tennis shoes every day. We play on lots of equipment outside and we travel down lots of stairs during our day!
* Friday is always pizza day for lunch. Most of the kids buy lunch, but you can still bring. If your child would like an extra slice (2) of pizza it will cost another $2.50. Please let them know if it's okay with you.
* You can send in lunch money anytime in any envelope. Please mark lunch money and your child's name on the outside of the envelope. I will get it to the office to be placed in their lunch account.
* If you have not sent in your art shirt please do so as soon as possible.
* Thank you for doing such a great job getting supplies!! If you were unable to find the big school box your child will need 2 smaller ones. Thanks!
*Don't forget to work on your family stars! They are due next week, August 22nd.
*I sent home a parent survey for you to fill out tonight. Please return as soon as possible.
*Please send a snack (no juice drink) to school tomorrow. I will send home a snack box with your child tomorrow. Please fill it with 5 snacks for next week. I will return the box to be refilled every Friday. We have snack at approximately 2:00. We eat lunch at 11:30.
